ELIJAH EDWARDS

Founder and Head Hurdles:

Elijah Edwards is the founder of Mustang Elite Track Club and one of Oklahoma’s leading coaches for hurdles, sprint development, and youth track and field training. Raised in Mustang, Oklahoma, Coach Edwards competed in track and field for nearly a decade and saw firsthand the need for more event-specific coaching, athlete development, and opportunities for serious competitors to grow in the sport.

That vision led to the creation of Mustang Elite Track Club — a program designed to give athletes in Oklahoma access to high-level coaching, technical instruction, and a competitive environment where they can improve. The club also helps multi-sport athletes build speed, explosiveness, coordination, and discipline that carry over into football, basketball, soccer, and other sports.

For the past four seasons, Elijah Edwards has coached at Mustang High School, helping develop one of the top hurdle squads in Oklahoma while contributing to the girls’ first-ever state championship. His athletes have produced state rankings, personal records, championship finalists, and some of the fastest hurdle marks in Oklahoma Class 6A.

As an athlete, Coach Edwards competed for Mustang High School in the 110-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, 4x200 relay, and 4x400 relay before earning a scholarship to continue his track career at Oklahoma Christian University, where he competed in the 400-meter hurdles and 4x400 relay.

Today, Elijah Edwards combines competitive experience and modern hurdle biomechanics to help athletes maximize their potential. Through Mustang Elite Track Club, Coach Edwards continues to build faster, stronger, and more confident athletes while raising the standard for hurdle coaching in Oklahoma.
